Here's a really watered down version of Karplus using JBowens ProWave synth.
Solaris is twice as plucky and twangy.

We use the Comb filter to do this. You feed it with a short burst of noise, and have the feedback turned up full or almost full.
The Comb filter is, in fact, a delay line, using the RAM of the Solaris....

I've searched and read as much as I can but cannot find the answer. I realise that Solaris software can do this but will Solaris be able to pull of the same trick? Its such a lovely sound. My rudimentary understanding is that it is often produced using a delay, so I take it I can use the onboard delay with an envelope to mod the delay?

Am I on the right track.

Thanks in advance

Mike
PS all I need now is a Solaris.
