LG,

Not sure myself - I will have to ask as to why this happens.

Shape parameter for pulse wave

by Little Gorilla » Sun Jun 09, 2013 5:12 pm

Hello - so, I was trying to use Osc 2, slowed right down to a frequency of about 1 hz, in the role of an LFO modulating the pitch of Osc 1. I was just going to use the pulse wave on Osc 2 and then modulate its shape from a "real" LFO to get the change in duty cycles than I would expect. But in fact it would appear that the shape parameter DOES change the duty cycle but also seems to offset the wave. Weird. If you try changing the shape parameter on Osc 2 manually you can hear the pulse wave modulating Osc 1 between a different pair of pitches with each shape change - whereas what I was looking for was for it to keep alternating between the same two pitches but with a variation in the times that each pitch was held.

Comments? Am I a fool?

Thank you.
