Meanwhile I tried emulating a couple of lead sounds of the Access Virus and the Korg Z1, though to little avail. The latter one hosts a sound called »Syndicate Lead«, built on top of a oscillator with sync controlled by an envelope (the Solaris can do) plus overdrive. Without the overdrive, it looses its character. Another one is »Anafuzz«, a sound with a fifth and a nineth. The Solaris can do, except for the overdrive which acts nicely on the odd harmonics.
This is not a complaint. The Solaris brought me hours of plain fun today, which means I'm very content with the machine »as is«.
