An example of user interface reduction is coming up with the VIRUS TI SNOW versus the former VIRUS TI versions. I think this unit is much more like a preset player or mouse editing afficionados. I agree that the user interface for a desktop model should be kept as close as possible to the one availa...

What type of SHARC processors under the SOLARIS
Just a silly question to elaborate on the potential DSP power of the SOLARIS: what type number and clockrate of the ADI DSP are used by the SOLARIS ?

I do not meant you should absolutely remove any knob or screen. I agree with you that user interface is a key feature of such a product. The transition achieved by Access between the Virus TI Keyboard and Virus TI Desktop version has been easy because the knob and screen panel is not that big (arrou...

Hi John No not 60% less but 60% of the price of the keyboard version. This is the same ratio as for the VIRUS TI keyboard compared to the desktop model. And I thought it could be achieved with just half of the control elements and half of the DSP power. Just an idea anyway. One more suggestion: it c...

Interest for a SOLARIS desktop version ?
Thought it could be usefull for John to see if there is an interest in such a thing ...
Let's say it could be offered at 60% of the price of the Keyboard version with a downsize of the number of the available control elements and even only half of the DSP power...

Will there be any SOLARIS SDK like the scope SDK ?
I had a dream last night about a possible migration from the Scope SDK community to the SOLARIS platform.
Does my dream have a chance to come true ?

I vote for this one. Do not think I have enough space for the SOLARIS Keyboard in my room. This one would have had my preference. Two possibilities now: - wait some time to spare enough money to buy the SOLARIS keyboard and move to another house. - wait some more time for the success of the SOLARIS ...

OK John, this is just even more than I would have expected from you. What I would still expect now is that you can achieve a 4 part multitimbral system out of this jewel and ... have a lot of success with this synth ... so that you can also design a downsized, more affordable desktop model out of it...
