So, I used another CF card that I had as a backup and that seemed to do the trick. The first CF card was the one the machine was currently using so thats a little odd but I'll try and figure it all out later. What matters is I'm currently at 2.0 ! So, I downloaded the file, renamed it, edited the text file to read 1. Placed CF card in slot and turned machine on. The display goes through its normal introductions, gets to the Waldorf screen and freezes with the other screens staying stuck at booting... I'm on an earlier Solaris with version 1 f...

Managed to sort it out. My CF card was missing the txt file. Thank you for your hard work on the OS.

Well, I'm having some difficulties. I'm on a Mac running Yosemite and I can't open the OS file to alter the text file. Preview is telling me the file can't be opened. Is there a specific app needed to unzip the file ?
Anyone else on a Mac updating? Thanks for the assist folks.

As an early pioneer I'll say I'm glad I waited. It wasn't easy but when I look back, all I see is that its in the studio making amazing sounds. Everything else has faded into history.
