Re: PWM on SAW waves
I find that hard to believe. The solaris sounds great, have never been able to do memory moog stuff on any other synth then the solaris for instance. And then there is unison and all the tuning that goes with it. Sure it might need a lot of tweaking and the learning curve is high, but the results sp...

hold store to save 3s without having to go through 4 steps
At the rate I have to push the store button 4 times to save a patch I just altered a bit, the button is going to need replacement in the future . Have I missed something or is it not possible to just hold the store button say 3 seconds for it to save the patch without having to go through 4 steps ? ...

Re: new LXR drum box
fyi The LXR is a full fledged digital drum machine with integrated sequencer. Its sound engine provides 6 different instruments, each with over 30 parameters to tweak. It can produce a wide variety of sounds, ranging from classic analogue emulations to crunchy digital mayhem. Each of the 6 voices is...

Sound Design tips, tricks, useful links
With such an amazing synth it would be great to have some in-depth sound design tutorials in the future. Maybe we can already share tips and tricks in the meantime to deconstruct patches in this thread as well as useful links. Gordon Reid's synth secrets : https://www.soundonsound.com/series/synth-s...

Re: Multitimbrality
That's amazing news. Anything you can reveal yet ? I guess the amount of parts would be of interest to a lot of us with some explanation on potential limitations. I understand if giving us feedback willhave to wait till after NAMM though.

Aphex Twin (AFX) mode on solaris at some stage ?
Aphex twin collaborated with novation to add this AFX mode on the bass station 2. Would aphex twin mode be possible at some stage on the solaris ? I think it should really be considered. Novation has done it for it's bass station. Basically you program an individual sound on a range of keys. ie only...

since 1.4.4 pitch wheel issues ?
Hello, Not sure if it's related to the last update. Haven't play my synth for couple of months due to studying and crazy work schedule. Going down with the pitchwheel gives kind of a buzzy all over the place noise until I reach the bottom. I even have this with an INIT patch. So I thought I'd calibr...

Re: New OS Update - 1.4.4
This is great, this is used to be my biggest concern years ago. Namely buying a synth which would lack firmware support and be riddled with bugs. My gut instinct always told me it would not come that far as the solaris is clearly a product of love for John.

vcs3 bubble patch help
Hi, Could anyone help me out with the patch below Using the joystick to adapt lfo rate I'm fine until "it's even better when we automate it" 1:28 And it does sound nicer automated as my hand and the joystick aren't fluid in motion. (guess I could maybe do it with midi/ableton, haven't trie...

error loading preset
Hi gents, John, I seem to have a bit of a problem when saving presets since the last FW upgrade ( I come from 1.4.0 and went straight to 1.4.2) I'm on bank 11 where I Store my personal presets. When I try to save or load patch 9 (it says empty) I get : error loading preset. When I save over it, I hi...
