Re: A way to see destination routing

If I'm not mistaken someone wrote a piece of soft that shows the modularity & routing of the solaris visually. sadly enough I can't find the link anymore. it does not show whats going in your patch but it makes it easier to reverse engineer certain things. You probably are talking about the Solariu...

Re: hold store to save 3s without having to go through 4 steps

We can look at improving that series of steps. Maybe offer a ‘quick save’ system parameter. Usually it’s more effort on a lot of synths because manufacturers don’t want the user to accidentally wipe over something they liked. With the Solaris you have the naming and the destination to select before ...

Re: Multitimbrality

It will be 4 Parts. You can distribute the available voices to each part based in pairs (since each of the 5 ‘voice' DSPs produces 2 voices). I've explained this elsewhere in the Forum, but basically you have a ‘pool’ of 10 voices, and assign them to each part in pairs. So, for example, you could ha...

Re: since 1.4.4 pitch wheel issues ?

Looks like the pitch wheel pot is going bad on the low end. you are getting both audio static and seeing the numbers jump around. THe numbers you wrote look fine - it’s just that you are getting junk in the low end. I doubt it has anything to do with 1.4.4 OS. Probably need to replace the pot. Send ...

Re: OLED text displays

Also once replaced, is there any good use for the old LCD screens ? Would John take them back as spares for building/repairing other Solaris units ? We currently have over 50 of brand new “old’ LCD screens, and will continue to provide them as spares if anyone wants. Over the last 7 years, I've onl...

Hi,

I was wondering if the inverted background center LCD comes with the $250 upgrade kit, or is it a modification to the existing LCD display ?
It’s a different LCD, replacing the one there, and it is included in the $250 upgrade package.

Re: something new?

The new version of the main board that I (prematurely) mentioned is still in long-term development. For now we will be using the same hardware as we have had for any current or future product.

Now, regarding the OS...well that is a different situation. :-)

Re: Developer Fund

We have the code from Hrast, who is now finished. Next step will be to add the wiring to the Blackfin code and compile everything to see if it works!

Re: Solaris 4.1 + Qwave causes BSOD on Windows 10/Scope 7/64bit

I asked Sonic Core what this might be, as the module JBMidiEv64.sys is a custom module they made, and it seems the module is unsigned. They just have to fix that and make it available.
