Oh that's easy:

1. Analog filters (MUST HAVE)
2. Poly aftertouch (MUST HAVE)
3. 24 voice polyphony (can live without)
4. AES/EBU (can live without)

I will buy it right away. No questions asked.

:D

It is my understanding that SPDIF is also not properly defined for any sample rate above 48 KHz. I have asked Eventide about this because I wanted to use my H-8000FW with SPDIF but they said: "it might work but it's definitely not recommended". ADAT is also not directly defined for anythin...

Also, you might want to consider implementing something like velocity sensitivity, i.e. when you quickly rotate the knob it jumps in 10s (or some other useful number) and when you slowly rotate it makes fine adjustments. Or, alternatively, something like a Shift function, whereby pressing Shift and...

Re: Not really impressed so far...

If I were asked to fork out $4000 for a VA synth in 2010, I would want a true 10hz-20khz +/- 0.0db frequency response, Lots of vintage synthesizers owe their characteristic timbre to the fact that they don't have a linear frequency response. After maybe something like 2 KHz the exhibit something wh...

Yannis, Here's the thing about "mono-timbrality" - the Solaris has the ability to have four distinct signal paths per preset (signal path being 0sc->Filter->VCA). You can also use all 4 oscs into each filter, with different filter settings, and get some layers that way....or any combinati...

Hi John, thanks for the reply. Nice to hear that things are getting better. I am anxious to see these videos! So, it's my understanding that the Solaris will be monotimbral first and then multi-timbrality will be added in later OS releases? What's the polyphony in monotimbral mode? Did you implement...

What is the resoluion of the knobs? 14-bit? Also, you might want to consider implementing something like velocity sensitivity, i.e. when you quickly rotate the knob it jumps in 10s (or some other useful number) and when you slowly rotate it makes fine adjustments.
