Re: Bought out by Korg joke thread

I assumed that John might not feel the need to inform us depending on the configuration of the deal. Let's say John gets autonomy , an extensive distribution network, corporate perks like health insurance/401-K etcas well as a nice salary combined with the initial payout. Korg gets access to the tec...

Re: Bought out by Korg joke thread

Normally I surf through, Solaris in the title thread made me look. At first I laughed and mentally commended the poster on his witty post. Then I thought about it, it could make sense for both parties depending upon the relationship with sonic core. There's not enough information in the public spher...

Bought out by Korg joke thread

Harmony central forums has a thread about the Solaris stating that John has been bought out by Korg.

I really don't want the Solaris to be an "all in one" instrument. I tend to prefer excellence over quantity and no matter how good the coders are they won't be able to do everything at a higher standard that already exists. 2 DX7s will set you back a few hundred and will give you more opti...

That sounds like a great idea Marz...
I'll probably just go through each section to get used to the response. Play around with the ribbon a bit.

I wouldn't mind a quick update on things John
although I have the last update for general timeframes.
Privately or via this thread. Happy 4th John :)

Must be something on my end then; perhaps a bottleneck with the cable. Thanks for checking....

Video viewing problems

I've been trying to view the latest batch of videos and I'm having problems. The buffering isn't enough to prevent the screen from locking up. I tried a few work arounds like pausing it immediately and hoping to buffer the whole video before restarting but that didn't work. I'm using a dual core mac...

I agree with Carbon. The Solaris appeals to me because of the synth engine and performance features. The 88 note controller slot is already held down in my studio by the Kurz Midiboard + other devices that add to the controller aspect ( expressionmate, strummer etc.) The cost in combining the Solari...

It's perfect for me as well the way it is. It would need a major overhaul if it was to become my main controller: 88 weighted keys, Poly-AT, Release velocity, 3 zone programmable ribbon with arpeggiator that can send out signals, Assignable faders and assignable knobs. In essence it would need to re...
