Will there be some SW supporting the creation of the wavetables ?
Yes, that is the plan.

ThreeFingersOfLove wrote:John, if the Solaris is 4x multitimbral, will there be a split function? Maybe this way you can load some drum samples and have some instant dance music withe arpeggiator latched.
Each part in the Multitimbre Mode has key zoning, so you can use that for splits and layers.

For the software plug-in, you are only limited by your computer's system RAM. For the Solaris keyboard, we have 32 MB on-board RAM for samples and user wavetables.

Solaris v5.0 has over 1100 parameters! There's lots to play with, for sure.

Hi serena-5, Quick answers: 1) I think the Solaris has the better Fatar keyboard action, and it has those "textured" black keys...they look like piano 'accidental keys'. 2) The plan is 4 part multitimbral, but not in the first software version. 3) I would also like to have this, but at the...

Hello MZ.

Yes, of course, that's the idea with a hardware piece like Solaris - all parameters are available from the front panel.

Jimmy,

You first have to select the RDX Oscillators. The Oscillator types then have a popup list, one choice being 'RD Slot'. You'll see an insert window appear, and you can just go crazy building new oscillators there!

All of my plug-ins should run on the XITE box - no reason not to. And yes, the Quantum Wave will finally have enough DSP power to really stretch out! As for device registration, it's my understanding that you only need a new key, just as if you had purchased a new PCI board, and wanted to register i...

That would certainly be nice to have, but it's extra stuff that won't be in there for the first release.

The main screen graphics have not been worked on, so they've just left the same bit map during development (the only change being the 0.x version number). When in Preset mode, this area will show the Preset name and category filters, and labels for the assignable knobs. When one of the other functio...

Hi John, Just wondering about a couple of things: 1. You mentioned in the NAMM video that Solaris will respond to 4 midi channels, does this mean true 4 part multitimbrality (ie 4 patches, each with its 4 osc/ mixer / filters etc)? 2. Regarding patch storage: If you have a multi-timbral mode, pleas...

I think this is a good move. Ditch the olive for sure, creme / off white is MUCH better. Also, regarding the endpieces, I can't help but think the slimmer endpieces with squared edges (as shown in the rendered pictures) look way better than the wider, rounded endpieces that the photos of the protot...

Messe 2008 reports

Hi All, Well, the Frankfurt Musik Messe (Fair) is now over for 2008. I had several members of the press come by to do video interviews, and here's the first one to be posted: http://www.delamar.de/solaris-video/ You can scroll down a bit to reach the video screen. I think this gives a pretty good ov...

The new XITE box just announced by Sonic Core cannot act as an expansion to the Solaris keyboard, but I am currently running the Solaris plug-in to beta test it, so it's not impossible to think that way. The current plug-in version is still using the older Scope modules, of course, while the keyboar...
