One of the other things is, there is no hysteresis on the knobs at the moment, so just a little bump and you get a knob change. This is yet to be tweaked, but it's an important issue, obviously.

How about a blinking asterisk placed to the front of the line? Or a blinking arrow? It's easy to implement, it doesn't take much space, and it istn't distracting (as opposed to the whole line blinking). Just some suggestions.Yannis We discussed the blinking idea before, and I brought it up again wi...

Panning Modulation at audio rates - http://www.johnbowen.com/WavDemos/Solaris_PanMod.wav. This sound example reminded me, among others, how bad quantized oscillators sound when swept either up or down :( I am not asking for the smoothest zip here (the A6 doesn't provide for it either) but maybe som...

NAMM report
It was great! We had a lot of enthusiastic and interested persons there...if you could find our booth! Unfortunately, NAMM decided that there were no spaces for me, and put me on a waiting list, and then alerted me on December 7th that there was an available room where a few others and myself could ...

Cornutt, Thanks for the suggestions! The inverse video text idea has been mentioned several times now, and actually we had toyed with it last year, as well as a couple of the other suggestions. BOLD, or blinking, or [brackets], etc. I'll be back in Germany soon, working on the production prototype, ...

I am worried about the access to a sequencer on the synth. In the scope plugin I can program with a mouse. How shall that work smoothly in Solaris HW without 8 or 16 encoders/buttons. Sorry I have seen the awkward programming in Andromeda. Yeah, this worries me as well, which is one of the reasons ...

OOPS...last question. Can the output of each row be run independently through a lag processor? :-) Each step has a choice of 2 'glide' or pitch bend type settings, but there are no lag processors in the software to separately smooth out the outputs....at least, not yet! (can be added to v5 easily.)...

Hey John,...When you say that each envelope can trigger from the keyboard or one of the rows, does each row have a trigger pattern associated with it or is it just per step? Does each row run on it's own clock division? Finally can you set the sequence triggers to be per step or on the loop start b...

Well, this is more or less how the sequencer on the Solaris plug-in works. You have all the modulation destinations which can select one of 3 rows of control data, the limit being that Row 1 is set for tuning, so it adjusts in semitones, while the other 2 rows are full range. And again, this can be ...

Does Solaris really need a step sequencer?
I'm wondering now about this - and I'd like to hear from you!
