Re: Solaris VS Jupiter 8 & OB8

OK, found some further use this very eve by accident. * An oscillator is modulated by an LFO. * An envelope's decay is used to control the LFO's rate (fast at key press, then slowly but steadily slowing down). * I'd like to control the time of the decay by some controller. * The Solaris can do this ...

Re: Solaris VS Jupiter 8 & OB8

The question/problem was how to use the LFO output as a controller for envelope values which occur only on key-down events. Obviously, it only makes sense to grab a value from the LFO when the note is played. You can’t continuously modulate any envelope segment once the EG is underway. Is that what...

Re: Solaris VS Jupiter 8 & OB8

For the moment, it's not possible to choose an lfo as a source of modulation for the attacks, decay or release time of the envelopes.
John, it would be really nice !
The same here. The modulation capabilities for the envelopes are limited (though the essentials are provided).

Re: Range of the AT+MW controller

For my personal use it's not an issue, since I seldom use aftertouch. I was confused anyway :) .

Range of the AT+MW controller

Hi all, attached is a preset which allows the player to control the oscillator's pitch using either the modulation wheel or aftertouch. I wonder, though, why the range (respectively maximum value) of both differ. Moving the modulation wheel to its maximum position provides the desired result. Tortur...

Re: Basic Collection

Saturninus_vignay.jpg The collection has grown. The delta to the last release is about 30 presets, found above preset 60, which is an addition of about 50%. This release is called the Saturninus release, since saturated filters played a major role while programming some of the new presets. The Sola...

Counting Sheep

The forum is quiet these days. I presume it's uneasy silence while waiting for a new OS being published :) . For the meantime, here's a simple patch named »CountingSheep.zip«. It recreates a very basic Shepard-Risset-Glissando. »Shepard.zip« provides an audio demo file (in ogg-vorbis format). I've a...

Re: Scale tuning on the Solaris

I cannot really judge whether the key tables would solve your problem, since I never did it for myself. No clue whether the 0-100% range provides enough resolution for your purpose. Even it it did, it would require some manual work initially, since it has to be adjusted for each individual key, and ...

I presume key tables should do the trick.

Re: While waiting for my Solaris...

I doubt I'd become comfortable with any editor for creating presets. The Solaris' interface works almost perfectly for me.

Analysing existing patches is a completely different thing. For that purpose, your tool appears to be of great help.

Re: Korg Z1 Legacy Collection

Here's an update. The collection has grown from 9 to 21 presets. Some are not really finished yet, but I decided to release them anyway.

In case you like some particular sound, do not hesitate to let us know.

Understanding the Vowel Filter

The Vowel Filter didn't appear in any of my patches, since I do not understand what it does. * An individual vowel emphasizes certain frequencies across the spectrum, which can be expressed by a set of band pass filters at fixed frequencies but different widths (aka »Q«). Great. * The Vowel Filter a...

Re: Basic Collection

Hi John, AFAIR the order within the Basic Collection didn't change and contains all previous patches, except the Z1 and Virus recreations (separate threads for each). In case you want to have all patches in one bank, you'll need to copy the patches of the three collections (Basic, Virus and Z1) into...
