Re: Production & delivery schedule

Actually, the binder with logo idea is a great one. Personally, I'd be prepared to pay extra to get something like this with the limited edition synths.

Production & delivery schedule

Now that the Messe is over and that the first few units are being assembled, can we get an approximate schedule regarding deliveries of the pre-order units? Will there be a manual (hard copy, pdf)? For European buyers, what will the remaining costs be in terms of VAT and shipping? For those with a V...

Q. No new keyboard is complete without a Jordan Rudess endorsement. Will Jordan get his finger in the Solaris pie ?

A. Sorry, we found Jordan to be too busy with his Korg, Kurzweil, Muse Research, Open Labs, Roland... engagements, and we believe the Solaris needs no sycophancy.

I do hope this comes to fruition. I use his A/I/P-100 effects all the time with Scope. Top notch stuff, not to mention at a great price compared with many other software-based effects.

it's about what John wanted to create... Neotrope expressed really well what probably all Solaris buyers think. Besides the technical aspect of the Solaris, and the exclusivity that comes with it, part of the purchase decision for me was also to support somebody trying to bring his vision to market...

Happy New Year

To John, and all who are waiting for their Solaris to arrive, I wish the very best for 2010. Hopefully the first term will be a cracker!

Has the manual reached a point where we could read a draft ?

The question is in the title.

If not, is there a manual that can be downloaded for the Creamware version? It's a different animal but it would make interesting reading I'm sure since v5 is supposed to be closer to the hardware version than v4 (for which there is a manual).

Besides the nice shots from Carbon111, you can also find 5 photos at http://fdiskc.com/syn/ under NAMM / Winter / 2009.

I agree with everybody else, the final design is even better than the prototype. The logo is really smart. So much so that I'm looking forward to my Solaris t-shirt !

I don't see the point of having an internal sequencer or arpeggiator not able to send out midi notes for further edition with a software sequencer. But that's just my view anyway so I can understand if people want this option.

Blast, I'm still looking for that John Bowen trading card.

Thanks for the extra info. The Sonic Core website doesn't really show much right now.

Is there a link to the original article in German ?
