Re: Saying Hello

Welcome! I am the proud owner of a Solaris for the past year and love it. The sound is inspiring and the programming possibilities seem endless. Every time I play it, it still puts a smile on my face!

Re: Solaris Bug List

Hi everyone - so, we have a new guy who is going to start on the bug list, as Holger has not been able to dedicate the time. Once we get a debug system set up, we will be able to make good progress, and I hope to have some good news within the next 3 months....so, hang in there! Excellent news! John

Re: Patch data over MIDI

Well, I am very upset that there is not a data dump for an entire preset - ridiculous in this day and age of MIDI! I know there are a lot of parameters (over 1250!) per preset, so doing one at a time is just silly. This is something that we need to change. This would be nice and helpful in creating...

Re: would you be interested in SOLARIS editor ?

I tried out CTRLR but I couldn't get it to work - is this due to the updates needed to send NRPNS, or do I need to just spend some more time with it? Toby - I was able to get CTRLR to work as a prototype testing out a few knobs. One issue that you may be hitting is that the Solaris uses a running s...

Re: would you be interested in SOLARIS editor ?

Rather than code an editor from scratch, i think it would be a good idea to create an editor with CTRL, an open source program that has a stand alone and vst plug in version. I think there will be a lot of midi cc and sysex bugs that would be better prototyped on this system. http://ctrlr.org/ +1 -...

John Bowen wrote: RE: receiving channel AT - I have not seen that as a problem. Could you provide me with more details?
John - I just retested and I am not able to get the Solaris to recognize Channel AT from another keyboard or when I record it in my DAW. Poly AT from my Midiboard works fine.

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?

I am willing to pay $100 - $200 for an updated OS that fixes the current bugs. I think that we would all need to agree on the list of bug fixes. My bug fix requests would be around MIDI and other basic fixes - sustain pedal issues, ribbon sending and receiving midi, joystick receiving midi, receivin...

Subscribing to forum not working

John - I am no longer receiving email notifications when forum topics change. It used to work fine. I tried to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the forums to see if that would fix the issue - but no luck. I checked to see if the messages were getting caught in my spam filter - didn't seem to be the is...

Re: New Arpeggiator Editor released

So... I've created an arp where VEL is modifying Filter Cutoff, VCA Volume, WT Shape, Mixer Volume between OSC1 and 2, and VCA panning... Very hypnotic.

Every time I play my Solaris, I just smile...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

Serial # 255 just arrived in Chester New York and it’s a beauty! Here it is pictured on top of my Midiboard (Poly AT!) P1020934.JPG First off, the sound is just inspiring. Thick, fat, clear, organic –the filters sound fantastic. The Youtube and Soundcloud demos don’t do it justice. You just feel con...

Thanks for confirming this John. I was lucky enough to pick up a used MidiBoard a few years ago in excellent condition. Playing with PolyAT is soooooooooo expressive and fun to play!
