John, There was a question over at VSE about the Hard sync; whether multimode was the only filter type available for that function. Someone was curious about hard syncing the P5 OSC type. Will this be available during the initial release? If not is it on the planned to-do list for future OS updates?...

The Horror !

You guys have a barbecue every summer where you each bring your prototypes to play: Ray Kurzweil brings his VA-1, you bring the Solaris,Mike Peake brings an Andy rev 0. I need to wrangle me an invite

Prototype

Just realized that with all the changes to the Solaris in the past few months that the prototype probably won't be able to be upgraded ( maybe I'm wrong). What are you going to do with it John?

On the purchase page it says that the second set of 50 will ship in November at the earliest, meaning that they'll probably ship after that. Once John has the first batch out I'm sure he'll have a better estimate for the second set.

Maybe a little over the top but would it be possible to implement both ?
I prefer the stick as I said before but wouldn't mind having multiple options especially in a live setup. Mapping different variables to the different controllers would be awesome.

I voted for the stick. If I wanted a touchpad I could always get one of those Korg pads. I too own a Neuron and find the sticks a great way to alter various functions. The ribbon isn't that difficult to obtain as far as I know. Kurzweil is still selling them. I already own one and would likely get a...

Front panel rev 2

John,
As we're nearing the final stretch ( starts salivating ) I was wondering if there's been any progress on the front panel changes...i.e. the vector stick and modified layout. Just curious to see how it looks

I don't know if the superribbon comes w/ some way to attach it but the expressionmate did not. Off to an art supply store to buy velcro tabs w/ a sticky backing. Worked perfectly. It currently is sitting on the ledge beneath the keybed on my Kurz Midiboard. For those not familiar w/ the ribbon it is...

I thought the ribbons were exactly the same. The box that comes w/ the expressionmate provides the functionality while on the superribbon the functionality is provided by the user's synth; Is this correct or am I missing something?

Well that's unfortunate. Approximately how much time until it ports to the Mac? ( Are we talking months or years here? ).I also wonder what percentage of your customers use Apple vs Windows OS. The business world is one thing but I guess I always assumed that Apple was dominant in the music biz.... ...
