User presets (Rush fans take note!)

Post by John Bowen »

I received about a dozen presets submitted for use from JK, so I am posting them here. These come as a ‘Bank5’, but of course, when you load them onto your CF card (they go inside the Presets folder), you will first need to check what the highest numbed bank is that you already have, and then rename this bank to the next highest number (by editing the folder name).

There are a number of solo lead sounds, and these should have the ER Reset parameter as ‘Running’, however, there is a bug in the Solaris OS at the moment which is not storing this parameter value, so you are suggested to set it to Running when using these presets. (Also, please read the post about this bug in the Bug List section).

JK tells me that Geddy Lee’s synth sounds in Rush provided the inspiration for a number of his presets....there’s also a number of sequencer presets that provide some well-known musical themes.

I hope you enjoy these!

Thanks everyone! To say these were fun to make would be an understatement. This machine will literally take you wherever your mind wants to go. Try and keep bank 5 free as I will be updating it frequently. :)

John: Thanks for making my dream synth!!

Excellent job on the programming, JK. I feel like I'm back in the days when Oberheim, Moog, Arp, and Sequential Circuits ruled. Please keep 'em coming !!
