Still in L.A. following the NAMM show, I took the Solaris to its first recording session. The artist is Scott Kinsey, a wonderfully talented fusion keyboardist I met some years ago. (I found Scott demoing at the Clavia booth several NAMM shows ago, and was blown away!)
Here’s 3 photos of Scott with his Nords and the Solaris: http://www.flickr.com/photos/solaris_sy ... 733211203/
Scott was recording a new set with bassist Gary Willis and drummer Gergő Borlai.
I also have a short video clip, but I want to have Scott’s permission before I post it. It was a real treat to be there - amazing musicians, and fun to hear the Solaris in that kind of setting!
(For those of you unfamiliar with Scott’s work, he first gained attention as the keyboardist for Tribal Tech - here’s a link to his Website: http://www.scottkinsey.com/ )

Re: First recording!
OK, I was finally able to upload the short (30 secs.) video of Scott Kinsey playing the Solaris, and he kindly gave his approval, so please go to this link to view: http://gallery.me.com/johnsbowen#100024
(It may take some time to load, so please be patient when trying to view.)
Scott is using one of my favorite sounds, the Rotor Lead (which you probably have heard several times in the numerous trade show videos, since I always gravitate towards it when playing ). The track they were working on is for a future release by Scott, but I do not know when that is scheduled. Enjoy!
