USB Midi IN

Post by delchambre »

Midi IN thru USB is not working,
while Midi OUT thru USB is ok !
If I put a Midi IN cable all is fine, but not with the USB.
If I downgrade to 1.4.x version all is fine too.
USB Midi IN don't receive anything (at least no Notes, No Midi clock, I didn't test CC nor Sysex).
Of course I try another cable and another USB interface, no change (btw I repeat it works fine with previous OS version).

OK, I finally got set up with a working USB board and software. I was able to both record and play back notes via USB MIDI. Jim said he also was able to send MIDI over USB, so we think the issue is somewhere else. Please make sure all of the MIDI channels are set up correctly for the parts and playback, etc..

Hi John,
Thanks to you and Jim.
I’ll send you screenshots and init preset,
but please notice that if I downgrade to 1.4 without changing anything else it works,
If I unplug usb and connect a midi cable, it works,
If I play on the Solaris keys I receive them.
So probably a corrupted data somewhere as my midi channel is simply 1 and set as global everywhere in the parts.

Hi,
I am exactly in the same situation. I am using macOS Catalina and the Solaris USB cable is plug into a USB hub and then in my Mac where I can see it.
When I press a key on the Solaris, the MIDI message arrives on the Mac on channel 1. When I send a MIDI message (key pressed) on channel 1 via USB, nothing happens. If I send this MIDI message on channel 1 via a MIDI cable, it's working.
