I’ve just posted a short piece done by Howard Scarr. Have a listen over at the Audio Demo page: http://www.johnbowen.com/audio-examples.html

Since Howard has been working with the prototype for the last few weeks, I asked him if he would put something together quickly, and he sent me this earlier today (Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010). Just a short example, it runs for about 2 minutes.

Thanks, Howard!

Thanks!, i loved the hawkwindy birdy noises, those are usually quite hard to make any good on a digital synth.
did he use his own samples for any of it? or was it done "stock" ?

Hi Neutron,
As I mentioned to Jimmy in the other Forum post for Solaris keyboard examples ( viewtopic.php?f=7&t=727 ), no samples were used in any sounds from Howard. These are 'stock' sounds, which will be included in the factory programs.

Just wanted to say I am very excited that Howard Scarr is making presets for Solaris.
Sample Oscillators are something I really look forward to also.
I have amassed quite a collection and can't wait to start using them.

Have A Great Trip,..

Each time I hear a new demo of Solaris there's something that takes my breath away. I love the spacey chirps as well, but I absolutely love that etherial almost voice-like melodic line. Eager for more...

It kinda reminds me (in a good way) of the Dr. Who theme.....looking forward to more examples!
